Red Bulls to open franchise's 20th season at Sporting Kansas City on March 8

HARRISON, NJ (December 19, 2014) – Major League Soccer announced the lineup of home openers on Friday for the League’s 20th season, as well as the schedule of games available nationally across the U.S. and Canada on opening week. The 2015 season is the first of an eight-year landmark television and media rights partnership with ESPN, Fox Sports and Univision Deportes.


The New York Red Bulls will open 2015, its 20th season, on the road as they travel to Sporting Park to take on Sporting Kansas City. Kickoff for New York’s season opener is set for 7:00 PM ET with Fox Sports 1 broadcasting the game nationally.


The Red Bulls and 2014 MLS Budweiser Golden Boot Winner Bradley Wright-Phillips defeated Sporting Kansas City in the knockout round of the 2014 MLS Cup Playoffs at Red Bull Arena on October 30, 2014.


The Red Bulls kick off its 2015 home slate and on Sunday, March 22 when they host D.C. United at Red Bull Arena in a rematch of the 2014 Eastern Conference Semifinal. Kickoff is set for 5:00 PM ET with ESPN broadcasting the game nationally.


New York defeated D.C. United 3-2 on aggregate to advance to the Conference Final for the first time since 2008 last season.
