Red Bulls Honor outgoing LIJSL president -

The New York Red Bulls honored current Vice President of the Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association and outgoing President of the Long Island Junior Soccer League, Addie Mattei-Iaia at halftime of the 2015 home opener against D.C. United.


Mattei-Iaia was honored for her outstanding volunteer service over the past 29 years with the Eastern New York and Long Island youth soccer communities and was awarded with her own Red Bulls jersey commemorating the event.


Mattei-Iaia served as the chairperson of the Long Island Junior Soccer League Convention for 25 years, as well as a LIJSL Board member for 18 years and president for 10. Mattei-Iaia was instrumental in forming the partnership with the Red Bulls Training Programs over the past three years, making LIJSL an official camp partner and launching the Regional Development School on Long Island.


New York Red Bulls Academy Director, Robert Montgomery, RDS Manager, Simon Barrow and Training Programs Manager for Long Island, Jerome Vivona were all on hand to present Mattei-Iaia with a framed jersey on the field.


Red Bulls Training Programs also took the opportunity to introduce Anthony Maresco as the incoming President of the LIJSL, following Mattei-Iaia's tenure.
