Social Recap | NYRB II earn first victory, Under-16s claim Generation adidas Cup title

On Saturday, April 4, New York Red Bulls II and the Red Bulls Under-16s both scored historic victories. For Red Bulls II, the club played host to Toronto FC II at Red Bull Arena. This was the second match of 2015 for NYRB II, the first result being a scoreless draw against fellow New York team Rochester Rhinos. The home side featured a total of 11 MLS players on loan while the First Team was on a bye week. NYRB II struck early and often against TFC II, winning the first victory in its young USL history, 4-1.

For the Red Bulls U-16s, a title game was at stake in Frisco, Texas at the Generation adidas Cup. En route to the Premier Division final, the U-16s won their respective group and defeated the Los Angeles Galaxy in the semifinals. The Red Bulls met undefeated Columbian club Independiente Medellin in a championship match that needed extra time to separate the sides. In the end, it was the Red Bulls who would hoist the cup, earning a 2-1 victory.
