Coverage of Friday night’s match between the New York Red Bulls and San Jose Earthquakes at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J. will begin at 7 p.m. EDT (TV: UniMas). Here are some numbers to know ahead of New York Red Bulls versus San Jose Quakes.


1 – The New York Red Bulls are ranked number one in the MLS Power Rankings, Week 6. Through six weeks and four matches played, New York is the sole team in the Eastern Conference without a loss.


3 – New York kicks off a three game homestand at Red Bull Arena beginning Friday, April 17 against San Jose Earthquakes. Following the Quakes match this week, RBNY will host Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday, April 26 (5 p.m. EDT, ESPN2) and Colorado Rapids on Wednesday, April 29 (7:30 p.m. EDT, MSG). 4 – The Red Bulls are now unbeaten through four matches (2-0-2) to begin the 2015 season. This is the second longest unbeaten streak to start a season for RBNY in franchise history. The longest undefeated run to begin a season in Red Bulls history lasted five matches in 2007 (3-0-2).


5 – RBNY have claimed five points from three road games thus far this season. New York earned one point against Sporting Kansas Cityin the season opener, defeated Columbus Crew at MAPFRE Stadium and completed a two-goal comeback to steal two points from Atlantic Cup rivals D.C. United.


5.5 – According to whoscored.com, Damien Perrinelle averages 5.5 interceptions per game, second most in MLS. Perrinelle has started all four matches at center back for the Red Bulls, scored his first career MLS goal in last weekend’s 2-2 draw against D.C. United and has led the back line to allow only four goals in four matches (tied for the lowest amount of goals allowed in the Eastern Conference).
