NYRB II on international duty

In the past week, four members of the 2015 Red Bulls II roster were called up to their respective national teams: Karl Ouimette (Canada), Tyler Adams (U.S. U-17), Marcello Borges (U.S. U-20), and Henry Martin (U.S. U-20).

Adams, who was named to the U.S. U-17 World Cup roster, has played in both Group Stage matches thus far. In the first game against Nigeria, a 2-0 loss for the U.S., he entered the match as a substitute for fellow Red Bulls Academy player Matt Olosunde at right back. In the second match against Croatia, a 2-2 draw, Adams started and played the full 90 minutes at right back. The final match of the Group Stage will take place on Oct. 23 at 7 p.m. ET against Chile (TV: Fox Sports 2).

Borges and Martin were both asked to join the U.S. U-20 Menā€™s National Team for the Mercedes Benz Elite Cup tournament in Stuttgart, Germany. Martin started in the first match against Germany, while Borges started in the second and third matches against Scotland and Mexico. Martin and Borges played a combined five matches with NYRB II before departing for college.

Last Tuesday, Ouimette started in a friendly for Canada Menā€™s National Team against Ghana at RFK Stadium. The defender played for the entirety of the first half before being subbed off at halftime the 1-1 draw. Ouimette has played in eight matches for Canada in 2015.
