New York Red Bulls to Open 2016 Season at Red Bull Arena vs. Toronto FC

HARRISON, N.J. (December 22, 2015) - Major League Soccer announced the 2016 home openers for all 20 teams in the league and the New York Red Bulls open their season at Red Bull Arena.

New York begins its 21st season versus Toronto FC on Sunday, March 6 at 1:30 p.m.

The Red Bulls' second game of the season will be in Montreal at Olympic Stadium in the home opener for the Montreal Impact on Saturday, March 12.

New York won its second Supporters' Shield in three seasons in 2015 as the Red Bulls advanced to the Eastern Conference Championship for the second consecutive season.

The Red Bulls set franchise records for wins and points while leading MLS in goals last season. Head coach Jesse Marsch was named MLS Coach of the Year while Luis Robles was named the MLS Goalkeeper of the Year.

Television information for both games will be announced at a later date. The entire 2016 schedule, along with the national television schedule, will be announced by Major League Soccer on January 7.
