RED BULLS IN THE COMMUNITY: Kicks for Kids, Soccer Zone visit, and America Scores Winter Cup -

The New York Red Bulls had a stellar week both on and off the field with players and members of the organization active in the community.

KICKS FOR KIDS

Prior to their home game against the Houston Dynamo on March 19, more than 400 tickets were donated through Kicks for Kids. The Kicks for Kids programs assist Major League Soccer teams with reaching out to various local charities that serve at-risk and disadvantaged children. Tickets are donated to local children’s charities so that they can experience all the fun of a match at Red Bull Arena.

SOCCER ZONE VISIT

On March 20, following their 4-3 victory over Houston at Red Bull Arena, goalkeeper Luis Robles and defender Connor Lade visited SoccerZone in Pompton Plains, N.J. The players signed posters and memorabilia, enjoyed a large turnout and had a great time meeting with fans.

AMERICA SCORES WINTER CUP

The Red Bulls front office staff competed in the America SCORES Winter Cup on March 20 at the Chelsea Piers in Manhattan. The organization donated money to enter the competition, which helped raise funds for soccer and literacy programs in Harlem and Washington Heights schools. The America SCORES Winter Cup raised more than $30,000, which is enough to fund an entire year of programming for these schools.
