After sweeping the season series last season with two wins, New York hopes to continue its winning way against Louisville at Louisville Slugger Stadium. NYRB II, which finished 5-6-3 on the road last season, had the third-best road record in the Eastern Conference behind only the Rochester Rhinos and Louisville.

Konrad Plewa, who scored one goal at Louisville last season, will be available for team selection on Saturday after serving a one-game suspension last weekend for a red card in the 2015 USL Playoffs.

Playing in his first professional match, rookie Homegrown Player Brandon Allen scored two goals to complete a two-goal comeback last Saturday against Toronto FC II. Allen, who landed all five of his shots on goal, was named to the USL Team of the Week for his impressive display.

Derrick Etienne Jr., who helped setup Allenā€™s first goal by earning his teammate a penalty kick, was named to the USL Team of the Week Bench. The midfielder was playing in his first game as a professional, and his first USL game since he was an academy player on July 4, 2015. Etienne Jr. scored one goal against Louisville in the clubā€™s lone trip to Kentucky.

Stefano Bonomo looks to return to his scoring ways on the road this weekend. Against Toronto FC II, the forward had two shots and one shot on goal in the match, and was the focal point of numerous scoring chances. Last season, he tallied one assist against Louisville at home en route to NYRB IIā€™s comeback win, 3-2.

Dan Metzger, who has not played a game for NYRB II since July 2015 due to season-ending knee surgery, could make his return to the lineup this weekend. In Red Bulls IIā€™s only visit to Louisville Slugger Stadium last season, Metzger was named USL Player of the Week for an exceptional 90-minute shift in midfield, protecting the backline and helping his side transition into attack.

Louisville City FC enters Saturdayā€™s match after of a dramatic late-game victory on USL Kickoff weekend. Opening up the season on the road against Charlotte Independence, Louisville waited until the final seconds to find the back of the net, thanks to a Cameron Lancaster 94th minute goal on a free kick.

Despite losing 2015 USL Golden Boot winner and MVP Matt Fondy in the offseason, Louisville added goal-threat George Davis IV from Richmond Kickers to help fill the void. Louisville thrived at home last season, boasting a 9-2-3 record at Louisville Slugger Stadium. In 2015, New York handed Louisville its first home loss of the season on June 20, 2-0.
