  • The New York Red Bulls played to a 1-1 draw against Columbus Crew SC on Saturday night in Columbus. Bradley Wright-Phillips gave New York the lead with a headed strike early in the second half, but Ola Kamara answered with a goal in stoppage time.
  • The Red Bulls are now 7-8-2 on the season and sit in third place in the Eastern Conference with 23 points after a 1-6-0 start to the season. New York is 6-2-2 over its last 10 matches. Philadelphia leads the East with 26 points (7-5-5).
  • It was the second game in four days for New York, and the second of four consecutive on the road. New York plays at Philadelphia Wednesday in the U.S. Open Cup, and is away to New York City FC on Saturday, July 3.
  • New York is 28-26-10 all-time against Columbus Crew SC, and 12-16-5 in games played in Ohio.
  • Bradley Wright-Phillips put New York ahead in the 52nd minute, running into space in the box and getting his head on the end of a first-time cross from Alex Muyl.Wright-Phillips has five of the team's twelve regular season goals against Columbus since the start of 2014.
  • The assist was Muyl's second of the season. Dax McCarty was awarded a secondary assist on the play, also his second helper of the year.
