USL Match Preview: NYRB II Hosts Cincinnati Sunday

HARRISON, N.J. (August 28, 2016) – New York Red Bulls II return home on Sunday evening to host FC Cincinnati at 5:40 p.m., following the Red Bulls – New England Revolution MLS match at Red Bull Arena.


NYRB II returns home after earns it’s fourth-straight win on Wednesday night, 1-0 at Toronto FC II.  With the win NYRB II improved to 16-3-5 on the season, and sits in first place in the USL Eastern Conference, four points clear of the field entering the weekend.


NYRB II leads USL in goals scored (46) and goal differential (+28) while recording 13 shutouts in 24 matches.


Junior Flemmings scored the game-winner at Toronto, his seventh of the season. Brandon Allen leads the team with 11 goals this season.


FC Cincinnati enters at 12-4-7, in third place in the East. The club is coming off of two consecutive 1-1 draws, and has not lost in its last five outings. NYRB II took a 2-1 win at Cincinnati’s Nippert Stadium in July.
