HARRISON, N.J. (September 20, 2016) - The NJ Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP), in partnership with the New York Red Bulls, will begin programming for its Young Olympians program (birth year 2005) and Club NJYS (birth years 2006 and 2007) on Saturday, November 21. Sessions are hosted regionally (south, shore, central and north) to facilitate participation throughout the state.

The program focuses on improving the player’s technical ability and tactical awareness while exposing players and parents to the Red Bulls, NJYS ODP and US Youth Soccer development programming. To accommodate for the increased demand of this growing program, a new boys U9/10 age group has been added to help develop create a pathway from the youngest ages.

“The addition of the new age group and expansion of our relationship with NJYS is another positive step for the Red Bulls pathway, allowing us to increase our presence in more youth soccer communities through New Jersey and widen our reach for player identification.” said Dave Jervis, Senior Director of Training Programs at the New York Red Bulls.

“Through our partnership with the Red Bulls, we have seen success training this young group of players,” said Mike Petke, NJYS Director of ODP and Player Development.  “We are excited to expand our program that will provide top quality training to top caliber players from New Jersey.”

Collaborative programming between the Red Bulls and NJ Youth Soccer has already provided a pathway for five young players, who progressed from the Young Olympians Program into the Red Bulls Academy.
