New York Red Bulls Head Coach Jesse Marsch is looking forward to Leg 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

“Given everything, I think we put a lot into it and we know it’s only halftime and there’s a lot more to go in this series," Marsch said after the 1-0 loss in Montreal on Sunday. "We’ll be excited to go back home.”

The Impact topped New York on Matteo Mancosu's strike early in the second half, a blast into the back of the net.

“[Marsco] Donadel has time, takes a touch, looks up and our line was too high," Marsch said of the goal. "We let them beat us with one ball over the top and it’s one-zero in a game we had pretty good control of. It’s frustrating we didn’t deal with that well.”

New York's head coach said that he felt his team "played well" and was "organized" on the field.

"Even though we had some really good advantages, we couldn’t convert any of them," he said.

Marsch is already looking ahead to Sunday, November 6, at Red Bull Arena.

"We’ll be excited to go back home," he said.
