Junior Flemmings was signed on March 25 after being named a trialist just two weeks earlier.

He came to the Red Bulls from Jamaica, where he played professionally for Tivoli Gardens FC for the past three seasons. Flemmings played in 25 games for Tivoli, and scored 10 goals.

He has also played for the Jamaican U-17, U-20, and U-23 National teams. For the senior team, he has been called up and been in camp with them on multiple occasions, including a call up to Jamaica’s preliminary Copa America Centenario squad.

Flemmings played in 23 USL games and recorded 1,756 minutes through the regular season, tied for seventh most games and the fifth most minutes. The 5-foot-10 foward also finished second on the team with seven goals and tied for third with four assists.

He accumulated an impressive stat line, despite seeing his season cut short after undergoing knee surgery on September 1. During the season, he was twice named to the USL Team of the Week, in early April and mid-August.

New York was an impressive 16-3-4 in the 23 games Flemmings played in this season. He started 20 times and came off the bench the other three, and was a big asset to Red Bulls II’s success.
