The New York Red Bulls are set to take on the Philadelphia Union on Wednesday, June 28 at 8 p.m. ET in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup (STREAM: NewYorkRedBulls.com, RADIO: New York Red Bulls Radio on TuneIn).


Here are some numbers to know ahead of the U.S. Open Cup Round of 16 matchup.


1: Ryan Meara earned a clean sheet in his first Open Cup appearance of 2017. It was the goalkeeper’s first start and first win of the year.


2: The Red Bulls are looking to avenge their two previous Open Cup losses, which both came at the hands of the Union. In 2015 the Red Bulls fell in penalty kicks, 4-3, and lost on the road in 2016, 2-1.


3: In the club’s previous MLS meeting with Philly, all three Red Bulls substitutes earned assists. Gonzalo Veron (2), Kemar Lawrence (1) and Sal Zizzo (1) all entered the game in the second half and setup Bradley Wright-Phillips’ two goals.


4: Sacha Kljestan has recorded four goals and four assists against the Union in eight MLS games.


7: Bradley Wright-Phillips has scored seven goals against Philly in MLS play. The forward recorded a brace in their previous MLS matchup on June 18.
