YEAR IN REVIEW: Connor Lade

The Red Bulls Homegrown Player from Morristown, N.J., proved again to be a versatile asset in the defense this year. With 21 appearances and 16 starts on the year, defender Connor Lade saw similar amounts of playing time to the past few years for Jesse Marsch’s side this season.

In 1,381 minutes of action, Lade earned a pair of assists this MLS regular season. During the Red Bulls playoff push, Lade earned seven starts for the Red Bulls out of their last nine matches.

The biggest achievement of the year for Lade may indeed be his recovery from a terrible ACL tear back in Aug. 2016. After more than six months of grueling recovery time, Lade made his return to the Starting XI on March 25 against Real Salt Lake.

Lade will look to build on his previous success in the offseason as he makes a push towards 2018 begins.
