The New York Red Bulls return to Red Bull Arena for the 2018 home opener on Saturday, March 10 at 7 p.m. ET against the Portland Timbers (TV: MSG2, STREAM: MSG GO, RADIO: New York Red Bulls Radio).

With Saturday’s match fast approaching, here are five reasons to attend Red Bulls vs. Timbers.

2018 MLS Home Opener

MLS is finally back.

New York’s first regular-season match against Portland will be the first of 17 MLS home matches for the club.

The Red Bulls are 2-1-0 all time when opening MLS play at Red Bull Arena.

The Red Bulls Are Red Hot

With three CONCACAF Champions League matches under their belts, New York enters MLS play in good form.

The Red Bulls are 2-0-1 thus far in the competition and have not trailed at any point through 270 minutes of play.

On Tuesday, the Red Bulls became the first MLS team to win a game in Mexico in the knockout stage of Champions League, defeating Club Tijuana, 2-0.

Renew Our Home-Field Advantage

Since Red Bull Arena opened in 2010, the Red Bulls have the best home record in MLS, with the most home wins and points (84-20-30, 282 pts).

The Red Bulls are unbeaten at Red Bull Arena in their last eight MLS regular-season matches (4-0-4). In those last eight MLS matches, New York has outscored their opponent, 19-6, with four clean sheets.

Jesse Marsch brings a 34-7-10 record at Red Bull Arena into his fourth season as head coach of the Red Bulls.
