5-0 victory and first clean sheet for the team as well, talk about the game, talk to us about what you saw.
“Tampa is a really good team, they’re in a really good way, I don’t know if they are still in first in the league after this, but they were first at the time. We knew they would come in and push our resolve and it was great for all the guys to get on the board, get some goals and really great for us in the backline to get our first shutout.”
What is it about playing the Rowdies that has you making spectacular saves?
“Honestly, I think that is the luck of the draw that it happens against them multiple times. I don’t really care who we play, I am going to approach it the same way.”
How difficult is it to maintain focus in the back four after having scored four or five goals while allowing none?
“I think one of the main things is especially since we hadn’t gotten our first clean sheet, just focusing on that and keeping the guys in tune. It’s easy to check out when we are 4-0, 5-0 up, but it’s just keeping the guys in task.”
Talk about defense a little bit, Rowdies was at the top of the scoring charts, and you guys seemed to shut them down, talk a little about that.
“Especially those guys that hadn’t played with us during the year, we are a club that has an identity and we know that whoever we put on is going to put in a shift and do the job and play how we want to play with our identity. I thought the back four did really well. Everyone knows they have a lot of attacking talent on that team. We came with a gameplan and we executed it.”
