The New York Red Bulls have signed Austrian midfielder Daniel Royer to a new multi-year MLS contract, the club announced today. Royer signs a deal to stay in New York after a breakout 2017 campaign.

77 -- The Austrian is the first player in club history to wear No. 77.
42 -- It took Royer just 42 matches to score a goal in all four major American competitions (MLS regular season, MLS postseason, U.S. Open Cup and Concacaf Champions League).
27 -- In his first full calendar year in MLS, he tallied 27 points (12 goals, three assists), despite playing only 26 games (23 starts).
17 -- Royer has scored 17 goals across 50 games played (40 starts) in all four competitions.
4 -- The 27-year-old has notched four penalty kick goals with New York, putting him tied for 5th among the all-time franchise leaders.
