NYRB II Welcome League Newcomer, Nashville SC, to Red Bull Arena

HARRISON, N.J. (May 6, 2018) - Playing their third game in a weeks’ time, New York Red Bulls II (3-1-4, 13 points) return home Sunday to Red Bull Arena to face league newcomer Nashville SC (2-2-2, 8 points) riding a six-game unbeaten streak. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET and can be seen live on ESPN+.

Sitting third in the USL Eastern Conference standings, NYRB II are coming off a road trip that consisted of three-straight matches.

New York’s home record is 3-0-0 on the season with a plus goal differential of +9 outscoring their opponents 12-3.

NYRB II sit atop the USL in goals scored (15) and shots taken (132).

Nashville SC enters Sunday’s match on short rest after a midweek scoreless draw against Penn FC.

Former Red Bull player and current Nashville defender Kosuke Kimura returns to Red Bull Arena for the first time since 2014, where he was a part of New York’s First Team, winning a Supporters Shield with the club in 2013.

Following Sunday’s match, New York sees their first break in action and don’t return to the pitch until May 16 when they make the short trip to Goodman Field where they’ll face Bethlehem Steel FC.
