NYRB II Round Out Homestand, Welcome North Carolina FC

HARRISON, N.J. (August 20, 2018) - New York Red Bulls II (9-7-8, 35 points) finish their three-game homestand against North Carolina FC (8-9-6, 30 points) on Tuesday, August 21 at MSU Soccer Park. Kickoff is set for 7p.m. ET. and can be seen live on ESPN+.

NYRB II faces USL newcomers North Carolina FC coming off a 10-day break since their last game, a 6-4 loss to Louisville City FC at MSU Soccer Park. The loss ended NYRB II’s four-game undefeated streak at home, as well as marking their third defeat at home of the season. New York, sitting eighth in the Eastern Conference standings, started the game on a high note scoring two goals in the first 14 minutes, but Louisville equalized before the half and ended up winning the game with a hat trick from Ilija Ilic.

NYRB II remain the highest scoring team in the USL with 52 goals scored, led by Amando Moreno with nine goals.

North Carolina FC heads into Tuesday's game after falling 3-2 to Indy Eleven on the road. North Carolina trailed 2-0 within the 31st minute but managed to make a comeback and level the game 2-2, before losing to a Juan Guerra last-minute goal. The loss ended North Carolina’s six-game unbeaten run.

Following Tuesday’s game, NYRB II will visit the Charleston Battery on Saturday, August 25 at MUSC Health Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. ET. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
