Bradley Wright-Phillips Scores Career Goal No. 200 in Appearance No. 200

Bradley Wright-Phillips has scored career goal No. 200 in his 200th appearance across all competitions for the New York Red Bulls, with his start against New York City FC on Wednesday night.

Across his career, BWP has notched 200 goals through the MLS, EFL League One, EFL Championship, MLS Cup Playoffs, Open Cup, Champions League, EFL Cup and Premier League across 498 matches.

BWP's first appearance for the Red Bulls came on August, 25, 2013 against Chivas USA. Five matches later, Wright-Phillips scored his first league goal at Houston on October 20.

Wright-Phillips logged 164 regular season matches, 15 MLS Cup Playoffs games, 11 U.S. Open Cup appearances and 10 Concacaf Champions League games.

Wright-Phillips recently became the fastest MLS player to score 100 regular season goals, doing so in just 159 matches. He's scored 119 total goals across all competitions for the Red Bulls.

The Red Bulls honored Bradley Wright-Phillips by announcing that no player will wear his number ever again in the organization.

General Manager Marc de Grandpre said that the No. 99 will never be issued to another player once Wright-Phillips hangs up his boots, whenever he so chooses. The number will not be issued throughout the entire organization, from the Academy to the MLS team.
