NYRB II Welcome Ottawa Fury FC Back To MSU

HARRISON, N.J. (August 30, 2018) - New York Red Bulls II (9-7-10, 37 points) return to MSU Soccer Park to face Ottawa Fury FC (10-12-5, 35 points) on Friday, August 31. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. and can be seen live on ESPN+.

NYRB II faces Ottawa after coming off a 4-4 draw with the Charleston Battery at MUSC Health Stadium. NYRB II trailed 3-0 at halftime but a second half hat trick from Tom Barlow, along with a Jose Aguinaga goal, brought NYRB II back into the game to eventually settle for a point.

Barlow was named USL Player of the Week for his performance.

Aguinaga has scored three goals in his last three matches, in addition to tallying three assists in his last four matches.

NYRB II, sitting eighth in the Eastern Conference Standings, are 9-3-2 when playing at home.

Ottawa Fury, sitting ninth in the Eastern Conference Standings, heads into Friday’s game with a three-game winless streak, most recently falling to Penn FC, 2-0, at home. When playing on the road, the Fury are 3-7-2.

Both sides previously faced off twice this season with their first encounter ending in a 0-0 draw at TD Place, while the latter ended in a 3-0 road victory for the Fury at MSU Soccer Park. The loss marked NYRB II’s first defeat at MSU Soccer Park of the season.

Following Friday’s match, NYRB II hit the road to face Indy Eleven at Lucas Oil Stadium on Wednesday, September 5. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET. and can be seen live on ESPN+.
