HARRISON, N.J. (September 12, 2018) – New York Red Bulls II (10-8-10, 40 points) return to MSU Soccer Park for their penultimate home match of the season, Thursday, as they take on Toronto FC II (3-20-3, 12 points). Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET and can be seen live on ESPN+.
NYRB II, the top scoring team in the USL with 59 goals, enter the match vying for their 11th home victory of the season. They currently possess the best home record in the Eastern Conference at (10-3-2).
Andrew Tinari, the second-year NYRB II player, leads the league in chances created with (89) as New York will look for a third-straight result against TFC II in 2018, winning the first matchup at Red Bull Arena and playing to a scoreless draw away at BMO Field.
TFC II, sitting in last place in the conference, come in on a two-game losing streak and are the only side in the Eastern Conference eliminated from USL Playoffs contention.
Following Thursday’s match, NYRB II head out on a four-game road trip beginning with Charlotte Independence, before returning home for the regular season finale at MSU Soccer Park. The road stretch offers a key opportunity for New York to capture their fourth-straight playoff berth.
