HARRISON, N.J. (August 31, 2018) – New York Red Bulls midfielders Vincent Bezecourt and Ben Mines both underwent successful surgery this week. Bezecourt had surgery on his right MCL on Wednesday, and Mines had surgery to repair a broken left clavicle on Thursday. Both procedures were performed by team doctors at the Hospital for Special Surgery.

Bezecourt, 25, was signed to an MLS contract last August after spending a year and a half with New York Red Bulls II. The French midfielder recorded a goal against New York City FC in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup and also added two assists in 10 games across all competitions this season.

Mines, 18, signed as a Homegrown Player prior to the 2018 season after coming through the Red Bulls Academy system. The Ridgefield, Connecticut native scored in his MLS debut on March 11. Mines also made 14 appearances for NYRB II this season.

Both players will miss the remainder of the 2018 season.
