MONTCLAIR, N.J. (April 27, 2024) - New York Red Bulls II (3-0-3 14 pts.) return home for another matchup against Columbus Crew 2 (2-2-1 7 pts.) at MSU Soccer Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. ET with coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

New York heads into tomorrowā€™s match as one of the two remaining undefeated sides in MLS NEXT Pro at this point of the season. Having already faced Columbus in Matchweek 1, New York looks for another favorable result after coming out on top in the match, 2-0.

In the first match between these two sides, goals from Midfielder Wiki Carmona and forward Roald Mitchell were the difference in a dominant performance on the road for Red Bulls II. Former MLS NEXT Pro ā€œBest XIā€ recipient Ibrahim Kasule recorded two assists and goalkeeper A.J. Marcucci posted the clean sheet in the victory.

Since then, New York has not looked back. The club has yet to lose in league play this season, having put up two wins and three draws following the season opener. Columbus currently sits at mid-table in the Eastern Conference with seven points and a 2-2-1 record in their five matches.

In last weekā€™s contest, New York faced off against fellow undefeated side Philadelphia Union 2. Steven Sserwaddaā€™s first goal of the season helped the side earn a point in a 1-1 draw on the road. Philadelphia came out on top in the shootout, 4-2.

Columbus is looking to get back to winning ways, with their last match being a 2-0 loss against New York City FC II at Historic Crew Stadium. Crew 2 has had most of their success on the road so far in the season, having earned a result in both of their contests away from home. The success includes a 4-3 win in Huntsville and a 3-3 draw with Crown Legacy FC, both of which coming in the month of March.

New York is in the midst of club history and will hope to continue their club record undefeated streak to start the 2024 season. Their six-match unbeaten run is the longest in club history to start a season, with their draw in Philadelphia vaulting them over the 2016 and 2019 Red Bulls II sides.

Coverage for tomorrowā€™s match is available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, NewYorkRedBulls.com, and the New York Red Bulls App.
