CHESTER, PA (April 21, 2024) - New York Red Bulls II (3-0-2 12 pts.) hit the road for a matchup against a fellow undefeated Philadelphia Union 2 (3-0-2 12 pts.) side at Subaru Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET with coverage available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

In what will be the first of three matchups between these two sides this season, New York will be looking to turn the page on their results against Philadelphia from 2023. Union 2 swept the season series last year with a 3-0-0 record and outscored Red Bulls II, 7-3, over the course of the three matches.

While the past doesn’t favor New York in today’s matchup, Red Bulls II are entering the contest as the top team in the Eastern Conference with an undefeated record of 3-0-2. The club is undefeated after their first five league matches for only the third time in their history (2016, 2019).

Red Bulls II are coming off an intense 5-5 matchup against Chicago Fire FC II last week at MSU Soccer Park. After coming out on top in the shootout by a score of 4-3, New York earned the second point in the standings and maintained their spot at the top of the table.

Similarly, Philadelphia also managed to put up five goals in a 5-0 win on the road against Atlanta United 2 in their most recent match. Goals from Edward Davis, Christopher Olney Jr., Kyle Tucker, and two from Chris Donovan were the difference in a dominant performance in Georgia last weekend.

These clubs are two of the top scoring sides in MLS NEXT Pro season, with New York’s 14 having them tied for first in the league, and Philadelphia’s 11 putting them in fourth. Those 14 goals through the first five matches for Red Bulls II is tied for the most in club history, matching the start to the 2018 campaign.

Coverage for tomorrow’s match is available on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, NewYorkRedBulls.com, and the New York Red Bulls App.
