Three Red Bulls were named to the MLS Team of the Week for Week 20 after a strong outing in New York’s 4-0 win over the Montreal Impact.

Forward Thierry Henry, who scored a goal and added two assists in the match, earned a spot as one of three forwards on the team.

MLSsoccer.com writes:

Continued his mastery of the Montreal Impact, scoring once and setting up two more as he led the Red Bulls in a rout.”

That mastery totals to an impressive seven goals and three assists over four matches against Montreal. Simply put, Henry has Montreal's number.

Midfielder Eric Alexander also joins the MLS XI thanks to his end-to-end play in Saturday’s win which included a goal, a shot off the crossbar and a strong presence on offense throughout the match before he subbed off in the 74th minute.

Rounding out the Red Bulls nominees, along the back line and an ever-threatening force set to take on offenses everywhere, is none other than Jamison Olave. The Colombian defender has a habit of making his presence known in an array of ways; sometimes with a goal, sometimes with a strong play to poke the ball away, and other times with straight out brute strength. We saw the latter of the three on full display in Saturday’s win, as he kept Impact forward Marco Di Vaio off the board and left a number of Impact players with no choice but to pick themselves up off the grass.

According to MLSsoccer.com:

“Had a handle on Marco Di Vaio throughout New York's big win over Montreal. His athleticism, technical skills and positional sense were spot on, for the most part.”

Perhaps a slight understatement, but accurate nonetheless as Olave did his part to secure Robles his sixth shutout of the season.

The Red Bulls return to action Saturday when they hit the road for a 4 PM kick off against Toronto FC at BMO Field. Watch all the action live on MSG started with the 3:30 PM pre-game show.
