New York Red Bulls 1, LA Galaxy 0
In a battle of two of Major League Soccer's top youth programs, the New York Red Bulls edged the LA Galaxy on Thursday afternoon to reach the championship game of the Generation adidas Cup's Premier Division.

While New York controlled the game from the start, it took a second-half red card to put them ahead on the scoreboard. Nine minutes after the Galaxy were reduced to 10 players, Red Bulls winger Rodrigo D'Andrea broke into the penalty area and fed forward Brian Saramago, who took an excellent first touch onto his left foot and calmly slotted past goalkeeper Eric Lopez.

With four saves for the game, Lopez was able to keep LA in it, and Salvador Segura and Patrick Muprhy were the keys to several late LA chances, but the Red Bulls held on to reach the Premier Division final.
