Notes: 

  • The New York Red Bulls (6-5-5) defeated New York City FC, 3-1 on Sunday evening at Yankee Stadium.
  • New York is 2-0-0 all-time vs. NYCFC.
  • Bradley Wright-Phillips scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season - and his third in two games against NYCFC - to level the score at one in the 47th minute. Sacha Kljestan dished out his second assist of the year on the goal.
  • Chris Duvall scored his first MLS goal in the 52nd minute to give New York its first lead of the game at 2-1. Duvall rocketed his finish into the upper corner of the net off a beautiful header from Anatole Abang.
  • The assist on Duvall's goal was the first of Abang's career.
  • New York scored three goals in a MLS game for the first time in 2015 as Matt Miazga scored his first MLS goal in the 73rd minute. Miazga's header off a set piece was the second assist of the game for Kljestan.
  • Kljestan tied a career-high with two assists. It was the third time in his career he collected two assists in a game (first two-assist game since Oct. 6, 2007 with Chivas USA vs. Real Salt Lake).
