HARRISON, N.J. (January 23, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls have added Eric Giacometti to the staff as a communications specialist. Giacometti will fill an "insider" role, contributing editorial content, both written and video, to www.newyorkredbulls.com as part of the New York Red Bulls communications staff.
Giacometti, a product of the University of Maryland and Queens College, covered the Red Bulls as a beat writer for MLSsoccer.com in 2015. A Garden City, N.Y., native, Giacometti has followed the Red Bulls and MLS closely for years. He has also previously covered the team in some capacity for The Offside (2010-2012) and covered New York soccer for Empire of Soccer from 2012 until 2015, when he moved to MLSsoccer.com.
As part of his role, Giacometti will produce digital content covering New York Red Bulls and New York Red Bulls II, including feature stories, game analysis, player profiles, video interviews and features, photos and behind the scenes content.
Giacometti will also assist with coverage on the New York Red Bulls radio station on TuneIn, including co-hosting the Seeing Red podcast and serving as a color analyst for select road games on the Red Bulls Radio network.
