COUNTDOWN TO KICKOFF | Ironman Felipe looks to build on career year

By the end of the season, Felipe was one of only two MLS outfield players to start all 34 games of the regular season.

His 34 games played was tied for the most on the team with Bradley Wright-Phillips, and his 2,922 minutes played was a personal career high. After contributing three goals and five assists, including a game-winning goal and assist, the Brazilian and the Red Bulls agreed to a contract extension.

In the MLS Cup Playoffs, Felipe continued his ironman streak by starting all four matches.

After a season in which he was a vital cog to the Red Bulls’ midfield triangle alongside Dax McCarty and Sacha Kljestan, the midfielder aims to repeat his success in 2016.

On Sunday, March 6, the Red Bulls kickoff the 2016 season at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, N.J., versus Toronto FC at 1:30 p.m. ET (TV: MSG, RADIO: Red Bulls Radio English/Spanish).
