New York fell to Toronto, 2-0 last weekend in the season opener on a late penalty from Toronto's Sebastian Giovinco and a stoppage time marker from Marco Delgado. It was the first time New York was shutout in the regular season since May 24, 2015, snapping a run of 23 consecutive league games with at least one goal scored.

New York was the highest scoring road team in MLS last season, netting 27 goals away from Red Bull Arena en route to a 6-7-4 record, tied for the second-best road record in the league. The Red Bulls also finished as the only team in MLS with a positive road goal differential.

Lloyd Sam scored twice in two games against the Impact last season, including the game-winner in an October matchup at Red Bull Arena. Sacha Kljestan also had a goal in that match. The midfielder proved to be a key to New York's offense last season, scoring six goals and 13 assists over the final 19 matches. Kljestan was held scoreless in consecutive games just once during that streak.

Montreal took all three points at Vancouver on opening day, downing Whitecaps FC behind two goals and an assist from midfielder Ignacio Piatti. Former Red Bull Dominic Oduro also registered a goal and assist in the win.

Montreal was 11-4-2 at home last season, a large part of their third place finish in the East. The Impact defeated Toronto FC, 3-0, in the knockout round before falling to Columbus in the Eastern Conference Semifinals.

The Red Bulls are 6-2-2 all-time against the Impact, but just 1-2-2 in games played in Montreal. New York is 1-1-1 at Montreal's Olympic Stadium, the site of this week's contest.

After Saturday, the Red Bulls return home to host the Houston Dynamo on Saturday, March 19. Kickoff at Red Bull Arena is set for 7 p.m. Tickets are available by visiting www.newyorkredbulls.com/tickets or calling 1.877.727.6223.
