Red Bulls Host Autism Awareness Night Saturday, April 9 at Red Bull Arena

HARRISON, N.J. (March 24, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls will host Autism Awareness Night at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, April 9, when the Red Bulls take on Sporting Kansas City at 7 p.m. As part of the event, the Red Bulls will welcome children and adults with Autism and their families to Red Bull Arena, and donate a portion of ticket sales to Autism Speaks.



"We are committed to making this night a special experience for all families who have a loved one on the Autism Spectrum," said Red Bulls General Manager, Marc de Grandpre. "Our goal is to provide a comfortable environment that evening from the moment they walk into Red Bull Arena. Our entire organization is truly honored to raise awareness and have the opportunity to support Autism Speaks."

Red Bull Arena will be fully activated to support Autism Awareness Night which will include the venue's security staff being trained on how to work with children and adults affected with Autism; a dedicated entrance at Gates C1 to ensure easy ingress for families; a dedicated Quiet Zone to provide those in the autism community with a sensory-friendly and judgment free environment; the national anthem singer will be a person affected with Autism; the photo booth in the "BULLevard" area will have an Autism Awareness theme; players will wear Autism Awareness themed items on the pitch; limited-edition match-day posters with Autism Awareness theme will be given to the first 5,000 fans.


The Red Bulls will partner with Autism Speaks, the world's leading autism science and advocacy organization, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments and a possible cure for Autism.
