BY THE NUMBERS: A numerical guide to New York Red Bulls vs. San Jose Earthquakes -

The New York Red Bulls aim to return to their winning ways this week at Avaya Stadium against the San Jose Earthquakes at 10:30 p.m. ET (TV: MSG+ ONLINE: MSG GO, RADIO: Red Bulls Radio English/Spanish on TuneIn).

New York’s matchup on Wednesday night is the first of two games this week, with the second match to take place at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park against Colorado Rapids on Saturday, April 16. The Red Bulls return home on Sunday, April 24, to face Orlando City SC at 7:30 p.m. (TICKETS).

Here are the numbers to know ahead of Wednesday’s match:

1-1-3: The Red Bulls and San Jose Earthquakes have split their last five matchups, 1-1-3, dating back to 2011. Last season, in the only game between the clubs, New York prevailed at home thanks to goals from Sacha Kljestan and Mike Grella, 2-0. Bradley Wright-Phillips, Felipe and Lloyd Sam all earned assists on the night.

5: In last weekend’s game against Sporting Kansas City, New York featured five Homegrown Players in the 18-player lineup. Connor Lade and Sean Davis started for the Red Bulls, while Alex Muyl made his professional debut as a substitute. Brandon Allen and Tyler Adams were unused substitutes.

11: Bradley Wright-Phillips has recorded 11 shots on goal, the second most in MLS. Although the forward has not yet found the back of the net, Wright-Phillips scored just one goal in the opening six games of the 2014 season before going on to score 27 times and win the MLS Golden Boot award.

80: New York has totaled 80 shots in five games, third most in the Eastern Conference. The team also has 26 shots on goal, which are fifth in the conference. Felipe, Sacha Kljestan and Mike Grella are the only three Red Bulls players to score so far this season.

112: If Luis Robles starts and plays the full game on Wednesday, the goalkeeper will tie Kevin Hartman’s all-time MLS regular season record of 112 consecutive 90 minutes played. Robles has not missed a regular season minute since making his first start for New York in the tail end of the 2012 season.

147: Red Bulls captain Dax McCarty made his 147th appearance for the club, passing Carlos Mendes on the all-time club appearances list. McCarty now sits alone in third place. Saturday marked McCarty's 142nd start in a Red Bulls kit, a category in which he is second only to Mike Petke's 158 career starts.
