HARRISON, N.J (April 14, 2016) ā€“ New York Red Bulls academy players Noah Powder, Anthony Herbert and Chris Gloster have been called up to their respective national teams, the club announced today.


Powder and Herbert will join the Trinidad & Tobago U-20 Menā€™s National Team camp, while Gloster joins the U.S. U-17 Menā€™s National Team ahead of a pair of friendlies against Canada.


Powder, a native of Maplewood, N.J., is a member of the Red Bulls U-18 academy team and New York Red Bulls II. The 17-year-old defender started his first professional game as an amateur in the United Soccer League on March 26, 2016, and has started and played the full 90 minutes in all three games for NYRB II. In the 2015-16 U.S. Soccer Development Academy (USSDA) season, Powder has played 11 games, including nine starts, for the Red Bulls U-18s and scored two goals. With Trinidad & Tobago, he participated in the 2015 CONCACAF U-17 Championships in Honduras in which he started all five matches and scored two goals.


Herbert, a member of the Red Bulls U-18, returns to the Soca Warriors after playing with the Trinidad & Tobago U-17s. The forward has played two games for the U-18s in 2016. Herbert was also a member of the Trinidad & Tobagoā€™s U-15s in the 2013 CONCACAF Under-15 Championship. The attacker has committed to play college soccer with LIU - Brooklyn.


Gloster, a native of Montclair, N.J., is a member of the U.S. U-17 Residency program in Bradenton, Fla. The defender has also played with the U.S. U-15 Boys National Team in 2015. In the fall portion of the 2015-16 USSDA season, Gloster started all 11 games for the Red Bulls U-16s before joining the 2016 Spring Residency program.


The Trinidad & Tobago U-20 are beginning preparations for the Caribbean Football Union opening qualifying group phase in June and the 2017 FIFA Under-20 Menā€™s World Cup in South Korea. For the U.S. U-17s, they will take on Canada in two friendlies at Lockhart Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., on April 15 and April 17, both kicking off at 11 a.m. ET. The roster consists of players participating in the U.S. Soccerā€™s 2016 Spring Residency program.
