New York Red Bulls II will take on Wilmington Hammerheads FC at Legion Stadium on April 22, at 7 p.m. ET. Currently in second place of the Eastern Conference, New York aims to extend its unbeaten streak to five games and reclaim the top spot in the table.

Coverage of the match will begin at 7 p.m. on NewYorkRedBulls.com/Live.

Red Bulls II won its only other road game this year, a 2-0 victory against first place Louisville City FC. Last season, New York boasted the third-best road record in the conference with a 5-6-3 record.

New York enters Friday’s match with three consecutive clean sheets, a club record. Red Bulls II last conceded a goal in the 45th minute of the home opener against Toronto FC II on March 26. The team’s current streak of 315 minutes without surrendering a goal is a club record.

This will be the fifth all-time matchup between New York and Wilmington. In 2015, the clubs split the season series, 2-2-0.

In the clubs’ previous meeting on Aug. 29, 2015, New York won at home, 2-0. Goalkeeper Rafael Diaz, who may start in the place of Ryan Meara on Friday, played one game against Wilmington last season and earned a clean sheet in a 1-0 win on June 13, 2015.

Diaz, who came on as a substitute for Ryan Meara last weekend in the 12th minute, played the rest of the game, making five saves and earning a shutout in his first game of the season. He was later named to the USL Team of the Week for his performance.

Wilmington enters the match with a 2-1-1 record after a win last Sunday against FC Montreal, 2-0. Former Red Bulls Homegrown Player Mael Corboz, who signed with Wilmington prior to the USL season, leads the team with two assists.
