The New York Red Bulls defeated New York City FC, 7-0, to remain perfect in the New York Derby. The Red Bulls set a new club record for goals in a MLS match with two from Dax McCarty, two from Bradley Wright-Phillips, as well as markers from Alex Muyl, Gonzalo Veron and Gideon Baah.
The Red Bulls are 4-0-0 all-time against New York City FC, including a 2-0-0 record at Yankee Stadium. The Red Bulls have outscored NYC FC 10-1 in two games at Yankee Stadium.
