New York Red Bulls II returns to action at Red Bull Arena on Saturday, July 2 to host the Rochester Rhinos at 4 p.m. This is the second of three meetings between Rochester and New York this season.


Red Bulls II improved to 9-1-4 and 4-1-3 at home last weekend with a 4-0 victory against the Wilmington Hammerheads. It was the team’s ninth shutout of the season.


Brandon Allen grabbed his team-leading fifth goal of the season with Aaron Long, Stefano Bonomo and Junior Flemmings also getting on the score sheet against Wilmington. Dan Metzger was named to the USL Team of the Week with his standout performance in the midfield.


New York enters the weekend in second place of the Eastern Conference table behind leaders Louisville City FC. Red Bulls II has two games in hand on Louisville and trail by four points.


Red Bulls II is tied for the best goal differential in USL with +15 through 14 games. The club has scored 23 goals and conceded eight. The eight goals conceded are a league best with the next closest being 10.


In the previous meeting between the clubs on April 17, the teams ended the match scoreless at Red Bull Arena.


Rochester finished last season as the 2015 USL Champions. New York has never defeated Rochester in four regular season competitions and one playoff game.
