  • The New York Red Bulls earned a result for the third consecutive match with a 2-2 draw against the Philadelphia Union Sunday evening at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, Pa. Sacha Kljestan tied a career-high with two first-half goals to lead New York.
  • The Red Bulls are 8-9-4 on the season and sit in third place the Eastern Conference with 28 points.
  • Sacha Kljestan was named a MLS All-Star for the second time in his career prior to the match and followed by equaling his career-best with two goals in a game.
  • The Red Bulls are 9-5-3 all-time against the Union, including a 3-4-2 mark in Chester.
  • Kljestan scored his third goal of the season in the 27th minute as Bradley Wright-Phillips forced a turnover with the high press and fed a perfect ball to Kljestan, who slotted the ball past Andre Blake for the goal.
  • Kljestan doubled the lead with a perfect free kick from roughly 25 yards away for his fourth goal of the season in the 44th minute. It was New York’s fifth goal of the season from outside the penalty area and third directly from a free kick.
