The Red Bulls head west this weekend to face off against the Los Angeles Galaxy on Sunday night at 9:30 pm E.T. (TV: FS1, Fox Deportes Radio: Red Bulls Radio in English/Spanish on TuneIn).  This will be the first and only meeting between the two teams that enter in third place in their respective conferences.


Here are some numbers to know ahead of Sunday’s match against the Galaxy:


3: The Red Bulls have three players on their roster who are from California.  Sacha Kljestan is from Huntington Beach, Sal Zizzo is from San Diego and attended UCLA and Kyle Reynish was born in Valencia and played collegiately at UC Santa Barbara.   


8: In 14 career games against the Galaxy, Sacha Kljestan has eight points, tallying one goal and six assists.  Kljestan and Red Bulls coach Jesse Marsch spent several years in the LA rivalry while playing for Chivas USA.


17: The trio of Steven Gerrard, Robbie Keane and Giovani dos Santos has combined for 17 goals this season.  The Galaxy have scored 21 goals at home this season and only conceded eight.


18: New York has 18 wins all-time against Los Angeles in 41 games, and 18-16-7 for record.  The first ever game between the two clubs was on April 13, 1996, a 2-1 victory for the Galaxy. 


63: With his game-tying goal on Sunday night against Chicago, Bradley Wright-Phillips surpassed Juan Pablo Angel for most goals in franchise history in all competitions with 63.  BWP currently has 57 MLS goals, which still trails Angel’s MLS mark of 58.  


294: It has been 294 days since the Galaxy last lost at home.  Their last defeat at the Stubhub Center came on October 18, 2015 to the Portland Timbers.  They are 6-0-4 at home this season. 


2,778: The Red Bulls will travel 2,778 miles for their match on Sunday night.
