HARRISON, N.J. (August 25, 2016) – New York Red Bulls defender Kemar Lawrence has been called up to the Jamaican National team ahead of a pair of World Cup Qualifiers in September. Jamaica will travel to Panama for a match on September 2, and host Haiti on September 6.
Lawrence has made 14 appearances, all starts, for the Red Bulls this year while missing time with international duty and injury. The Kingston native has been a mainstay with his national team over the last two seasons, receiving call ups for World Cup Qualifiers, Copa America and the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup.
Lawrence is one of nine MLS players called in by Jamaica for the pair of qualifiers.
