  • The New York Red Bulls played to a 2-2 tie with D.C. United on Sunday afternoon at Red Bull Arena. New York extended its franchise-record undefeated streak to 11 games with goals from Gonzalo Veron and Bradley Wright-Phillips.
  • Before the match, the teams observed a moment of silence as the date marked the 15th anniversary of September 11, 2011. Both teams wore special jerseys with Stars and Stripes in the numbers. New York's jerseys and warm-up shirts will be donated to the NYPD Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund.
