The Red Bulls are preparing to face off in the third of four group stage games, as part of the CONCACAF Champions League when they will play host to Alianza FC on Thursday, September 15 at 8 p.m.

New York is currently 1-0-1, good for four points and the lead in Group F. The group stage consists of four games, playing a home and home against each of the other two opponents in the group.

Alianza FC, the upcoming opponent, is 0-0-2 so far, with two points. They’re currently in second place of the group ahead of Antigua GFC.

After a stage opening 3-0 home win over Guatemala’s Antigua GFC, the Red Bulls tied El Salvador’s Alianza FC away 1-1.

A New York win on Thursday would guarantee at least a tie for first in the group, while a tie or loss would leave plenty of options on the table, leading into the final group stage game. The Red Bulls finish off the group stage by travelling to play Antigua GFC on September 27.
