Red Bull Arena is sure to be energized on Sunday, with two games lined up, both with serious implications. Here are six reasons you need to be here on Sunday:

1. Two Games for the Price of One

Red Bull Arena hosts a doubleheader on Sunday, October 16 starting at 3:00 p.m. against Columbus. Following the first team game, Red Bulls II will be facing off against Louisville City FC at 6:30 p.m. in the Eastern Conference Finals. A win in this game will move NYRBII on to the USL Cup. Fans who attend the first game are invited to stay for the second at no additional cost.

2. Battle for Supporters’ Shield and Top Seed in the Eastern Conference

The Red Bulls are still in the running for both the top overall record in MLS and top seed for the playoffs. With the season coming to a close, this game is crucial to both chases.

3. League-Leaders Galore

The New York Red Bulls boast three players who lead the league in various categories.

Bradley Wright-Phillips is tied for the lead in the Golden Boot race, with 21 goals on the season. Sacha Kljestan is the league leader in assists, with 17. Luis Robles leads MLS with 10 shutouts.

4. Career and Franchise Records

Not only do the Red Bulls boast a top team with top talent this season, they also offer career-long record holders. Bradley Wright-Phillips is the only MLS player ever to score 20+ goals in two different seasons. He tied the record for most goals in a single MLS season in 2014 with 27. Wright-Phillips also boasts the most goals scored in a three-year span.

Luis Robles holds the ironman record for most consecutive games having started and played the full 90 minutes. He is also the only player in MLS history to start 100 consecutive games with the same franchise.

Dax McCarty is now the franchise leader in minutes played and is closing in on the top spot for the franchise starts mark, too.

The organization will recognize their feats with special recognition after the game against Columbus.

5. Home Cooking

Since 2012, the Red Bulls have won the most games and recorded the most points at home of any team in MLS. While playing at Red Bull Arena, the team is 56-12-16 at home since 2012. The fans are what makes this arena such a difficult place for opposing teams to play. In addition to the 14-game MLS unbeaten streak, the Red Bulls also claim a 13-game home MLS undefeated streak.

6. Celebrate Supporters’ Day

This Sunday, October 16, is Red Bull Supporters’ Day. Following the first-team match, Red Bulls players will kick signed soccer balls into the stands for many lucky supporters, along with other in-stadium celebrations.

The organization will salute the fans, and the organization, along with Juan Pablo Angel, will recognize several players who have achieved career milestones and set franchise records this season.

See you here on Sunday! Single-game tickets are still available!
