HARRISON, N.J. (October 14, 2016) – The New York Red Bulls return home to face Columbus Crew SC on Saturday, October 16. Kickoff at Red Bull Arena is set for 3 p.m., with coverage on MSG, MSG GO and Red Bulls Radio. New York will look to extend its unbeaten streak to fifteen MLS games, and 19 games overall.

MSG and MSG GO will broadcast the match locally beginning at 2:30 with Red Bulls Game Night.

Red Bulls Radio kicks off at 2 p.m. with Countdown to Kickoff, hosted by Matt Harmon. Harmon will be joined by former Red Bull and MetroStar Steve Jolley for the English broadcast, while Ernesto Motta provides Spanish play-by-play beginning at 3 p.m.

The New York Red Bulls will also celebrate Supporters’ Day on Sunday, the final MLS regular season home game of the year. Following the match, Red Bulls players will salute the fans, and the organization will recognize several players who have achieved career milestones and set franchise records this season.

The Red Bulls enter at 14-9-9, in first place in the Eastern Conference. New York has climbed the table with the undefeated streak, having not lost a match since July 3. The unbeaten streak is a franchise record, and is one game shy of the longest streak in MLS this season.

New York resumes play after a week off for the FIFA break. Two players were in action for the countries, as Kemar Lawrence went the distance in a Caribbean Cup match for Jamaica, and Sacha Kljestan earned two more caps, including his 50th, for the U.S. Men’s National Team in a pair of friendlies.

Kljestan recorded a goal and assist in New York’s last outing, a 3-2 win over Philadelphia on October 1. Kljestan’s six goals are tied for second on the team, while his 17 assists lead all of MLS.

Bradley Wright-Phillips also scored against Philly, his 21st of the year, tied for the league lead with NYC FC’s David Villa. Wright-Phillips has gotten on the score sheet in 11 of the last 13 games, with 12 goals and three assists in that span.

Dax McCarty recorded assists on both Kljestan and Wright-Phillips’ goals, and then scored the game-winner himself. McCarty recently set a new franchise record for minutes played, and is two appearances behind Mike Petke for first place on the all-time games played list.

Columbus enters at 8-12-12, coming off of a 2-2 draw with Chicago on Thursday night that eliminated Crew SC from the 2016 MLS Cup Playoff picture. Ola Kamara leads Crew SC with 15 goals on the season. It will be Crew SC’s first appearance at Red Bull Arena since eliminating New York from the 2015 MLS Cup Playoffs in the second leg of the Eastern Conference Finals.

New York is 28-26-10 all-time against Columbus, and 16-10-5 in games played at Red Bull Arena. In their only previous game this season, the Red Bulls recorded a point at MAPFRE Stadium with a 1-1 draw.

After Saturday, the Red Bulls end the regular season with a short trip to play Philadelphia on October 23 at 4 p.m.
