The New York Red Bulls ended the season on a 16-game undefeated streak, and look to ride that momentum into the Eastern Conference Semifinals. New York will travel to Montreal to take on the Impact at Saputo Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3 pm.
This game is the first leg of a two-game home and home series. The Red Bulls will return home on Sunday, November 6. The kickoff time is to be determined. After both games, the winner on aggregate scoring will advance to face the winner of New York City FC and Toronto FC. If the aggregate score is tied, away goals will provide the tiebreaker. In the case there is still a tie, overtime and potentially a shootout will be played.
New York had a bye in the Knockout Round, while Montreal defeated D.C. United 4-2 to advance. In their three matches this season, the Red Bulls have a 2-0-1 record.
