Former New York Red Bulls II defender Zach Carroll has signed a USL contract with Orlando City B, the team announced.

Carroll did not have his option extended by NYRBII in late November.

Carroll was an All-USL Second Team selection in 2016, appearing in 28 games for NYRBII in their USL Championship season. He was the No. 38 overall pick by New York in the 2016 MLS SuperDraft.

The defender tweeted a message to the Red Bulls organization on Thursday:

Former Red Bull Scott Thomsen also signed with Orlando City B. Thomsen signed a Homegrown Contract with New York in 2015, but was waived before the season began. Thomsen played in 10 games for USL-side Richmond Kickers in 2016.
