New York Red Bulls Announce Roster Moves Following Conclusion of 2016 MLS Season

HARRISON, N.J. (December 12, 2016) - The New York Red Bulls announced additional roster transactions today following the conclusion of the MLS season and ahead of tomorrow’s 2016 MLS expansion draft for Minnesota United FC and Atlanta United FC.
Aaron Long returned to New York Red Bulls II at the end of the 2016 season, following the conclusion of his loan to the first team. Omer Damari returned to RB Leipzig following the conclusion of his loan.
Forward Anatole Abang remains on loan. 
Five players from the New York Red Bulls had contracts expire at the end of 2016:
Damien Perrinelle, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Ryan Meara, Kyle Reynish and Aurelien Collin. Meara was signed to a new MLS contract, as announced earlier today.
As previously announced, options were exercised on four players, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Sean Davis, Chris Duvall, and Justin Bilyeu, and declined on two players, Ronald Zubar and Karl Ouimette.
