Red Bulls Look to Continue Winning Ways Against Vancouver

The New York Red Bulls and Vancouver Whitecaps FC have met seven times in their history. They'll meet for the eighth time on Wednesday night at Red Bull Arena for the CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals.


The Whitecaps lead the all-time series with a 3-1-3 record, including 2-0-1 at Red Bull Arena, since their first meeting on May 28, 2011.


New York's lone victory came in their most recent meeting, with the Red Bulls defeating Vancouver on the road, 1-0, thanks to a goal by Bradley Wright-Phillips.


New York is 1-3-3 all-time against Vancouver in MLS competitions (1-1-2 at BC Place).


After Leg 1 on Wednesday, the two teams will wrap up the quarterfinal round with a game on March 2 in Vancouver.
