New York Red Bulls midfielder Tyler Adams and the U.S. U-20 Men’s National Team claimed its first CONCACAF U-20 title, defeating Honduras in penalty kicks, 5-3, following a 0-0 draw in the 2017 Championship Final.

Adams started and played the full 90 minutes in the final match.

The Red Bulls Homegrown Player totaled four starts in the competition and played the full 90 minutes in three of his appearances.

Adams was forced to make an early exit the opening match of the tournament due to injury and missed two games; only to bounce back and play the final three matches to help the U.S. U-20’s to their first CONCACAF title.

The U-20 MNT now prepares for the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup, set to take place from May 20 to June 11, 2017 in Korea Republic, and will learn their group opponents during the tournament draw on March 15. Mexico, Honduras and Costa Rica also qualified from the CONCACAF region.
